As we draw to the end of our 450th Anniversary Year, we begin to reflect on the wonderful impact that this year has had on the special community that was established by Lawrence Sheriff in 1567 when he founded Rugby School. We have published a book, produced a film, created an exhibition, designed a 450th merchandise portfolio, sent a 450th Anniversary rugby ball around the world, erected two plaques….. and by the end of the year, we will have organised several quite different events ranging from the International Schools U18 Rugby Sevens Tournament at the School, to a fine Dinner at Middle Temple Hall and a Street Festival on the Rugby Estate in London.
There is one final event left to celebrate Rugby School’s 450th Anniversary, the Thanksgiving Celebration which will be held in the School Chapel on 26 November. We do hope that you will be able to join us to reflect on the year through wonderful musical performances provided by the School. There is no cost and you can book your places by clicking here.
