'from Elizabeth to Elizabeth'

One of the lasting tributes of the anniversary year is the commissioned Rugby School history book ‘From Elizabeth to Elizabeth’.

For the very first time, the history of Rugby School has been recorded within the context of world events. An illustration of how our own rich history fits into the jigsaw of 450 exciting, bloodthirsty, commercial, revolutionary years. To plot the roles – glamorous, humorous, glorious and scurrilous – that Rugbeians have played in our shared past, ‘from Elizabeth to Elizabeth’ will give a unique insight into the breadth and depth of influence that Rugby School has had on our world.

Beautifully illustrated with archival photography, this book will appeal to all those who have a connection to the School – Rugbeians and their families, parents, current pupils, staff and friends. It demonstrates that since 1567, the whole point of Rugby School has been to develop the character, personality and intellectual ability of the whole person. A fitting legacy then, to celebrate the 450th Anniversary.
