450th Anniversary Film preview

On Saturday, July 1st, a group of Rugbeians gathered at the home of Julie and Michael Whitcomb (SH 70-74) in San Francisco to celebrate Rugby's 450th Anniversary, and to view the film that premiered in England on June 24th.  We had a delightful reunion, including a couple of the more senior Rugbeians who assured us that they were not actually there at Rugby's inception.  Besides the film, the festivities featured Iron Horse wines, generously donated by Lawrence Sterling (M 71-75) and his family.

The film prompted a lively discussion and flood of memories.  Several of us found the notion of 'restlessness, reflection and rigor' as key to success in life to be quite instructive.  As always, it was another fun excuse to get together.
