We are delighted to be able to report the success of last year's American Friends of Rugby School (AFRS) Arnold Foundation Challenge.  In recent years the AFRS have been able to contribute over $300,000 to this exceptional program.  The generosity and continued involvement of so many American Friends is outstanding.

Generous donors have helped secure over £21 million (over $28 million) has been raised and 129 boys and girls have benefited.  Of these, many have found success after leaving the school, attending leading universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, studying medicine, languages, law or business or embarking upon substantial careers in the creative arts, journalism and finance, with one student now qualified as a medical doctor and pursuing a career in neurosurgery.  All have taken with them the values that were learnt at Rugby.  Unsurprisingly, competition for these places remains high.

What's the challenge?

Our target this year is to raise $35,000 to enable more young people to benefit from this opportunity and to increase significantly the number of American Friends giving regular gifts in this challenge.  We would therefore ask you to consider supporting the Arnold Foundation as it is only through your generosity that we are able to ensure that Rugby remains at the forefront of such bursary provision.

How do I donate?

We hope that you consider contributing to this year's Challenge.  Gifts of all sizes make a substantial difference in our efforts to reach our target.

You can make a gift to the Arnold Foundation that is tax-deductible either by donating online, or by check using our donation form.

Thank you

We would be delighted and grateful if you would join in our commitment to Arnold Foundation scholars at Rugby School.  If you have any further questions about the work being undertaken, please do not hesitate to contact the Development Team at
