The Programme

The sole purpose of the Arnold Foundation, which is funded entirely from voluntary donations, is to provide bursaries, subject to means testing, for pupils in boarding places at Rugby School.

The Foundation does not seek gifts for capital projects.

We are now in our fourteenth year, progress is good and interest in all we are doing is greater than ever.

At Rugby School, we work in partnership with educational charities to reach out to boys and girls from some of the country's most deprived communities, where under-achievement is rife. We do not support these pupils because they are the brightest or the most talented, but because they stand to gain the most from a boarding school education.

Distinguishing Features

  • A genuine desire to transform lives.
  • A proven ability to find the right pupils.
  • A commitment to long term pastoral engagement.

If bursary schemes are to transform lives, they must do more than just help out with school fees.  Pupils are supported through a comprehensive programme of pastoral care which assists them and their families.
