ORRTC v Cambridge 14-09-19

The match versus Cambridge was lost 4 -2.

Charles Fraser (St 74-79) lost to an on form Julian Stafford.

Michael Firth (W 74-78) won his 1 set (first to 10 games) singles, then Charles and Michael lost a doubles match in 3 sets.

Tim Bolton-Carter (St 74-78) lost his singles to John Trapp but won his doubles with a fresh John Huntingford (T 64-69) as his partner.

It was 3-2 so we needed John to win his singles match to draw. It was not to be.

Peter Patterson and Mark Hobbs organised and marked for us very well and we had the usual convivial lunch and refreshments.

Michael Firth (W 74-78)
