About the House
Dean is situated centrally on campus, close to the Music Schools and within easy reach of the sports facilities.
Among the features of Dean are a stunning garden, substantial study bedrooms and a modern, light and airy interior.
Dean is full of vibrancy, energy and contentment. The House culture is built on kindness, aspiration and self belief, and over their five years the girls are encouraged to immerse themselves in their academic, creative and sporting endeavours. It is a place they are proud to call home, where difference and individual success are equally celebrated.
Our emblem is the Heron, a graceful bird representing determination and tranquillity, complemented by the House colours of purple and green.
Felicity Passmore, Housemistress
Felicity Passmore completed her degree at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, followed by a PGCE and a Masters in Teaching and Learning, before beginning her career at Rugby School Thailand.
As a founding member of staff she set up two boarding houses, in her roles as Assistant Housemistress and then Housemistress of School House and also held the positions of Head of Drama and Head of Scholars.
Felicity joined Rugby School in 2024 as Dean as Housemistress, where she also teaches Drama. Felicity lives with her husband, who is Head of English at Bilton Grange.
She loves going to the theatre and can often be found watching performances in the West End.
