Congratulations to Rugby School student Alfie, who has been commended in this year’s Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award.

Alfie’s poem, How to Package a Man, was selected among the top 100 entries from more than 11,000 submissions, recognising an impressive achievement in young poetry.

Alfie joined Rugby School in F Block from Bilton Grange Prep School, part of Rugby School Group, and has made a significant contribution to school life as a Performing Arts Scholar, performing in every school production and showcase.

His poem will be published next year in the Foyle Young Poets of the Year commended poets’ anthology.
