Pushcart Race

A highlight of the Rugby School calendar, the Pushcart Race sees pupils design, build and race their own carts in a spirited competition of creativity, teamwork and engineering skill. Crick & Barby Runs

The Crick and Barby Runs are long-standing Rugby School traditions that challenge pupils to test their endurance, determination and resilience. Taking place across the Warwickshire countryside, these iconic runs foster camaraderie, personal achievement and a shared sense of accomplishment, making them a memorable part of Rugby life.

The Festival on The Close

Each summer, Rugby School hosts the acclaimed The Festival on The Close, a vibrant celebration of arts, culture and community. Set against the backdrop of the School’s historic grounds, the festival brings together internationally renowned performers, musicians, comedians and artists, while providing opportunities for local schools and young people to engage in workshops and creative experiences. Since its launch in 2017, it has become one of the region’s most anticipated cultural events.
