At the end of the academic term, we welcomed students from Rugby School Thailand and Rugby School Japan to the UK for our annual Global Exchange, part of a wider reciprocal programme that also sees Rugby School students travel abroad.

Based at the birthplace of the game, students experienced life at the School while taking part in a varied programme of academic, cultural and co-curricular activities. Alongside time in lessons and with their hosts, the itinerary included visits to London, Cambridge, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle, as well as a residential trip to Snowdonia and a visit to the Harry Potter Studios.

The programme combined time in the classroom with opportunities beyond it, from team-building and cultural exchanges to sport, Scottish reeling and involvement in The Festival on The Close.

Students were welcomed with a barbecue on The Close and, over the course of the visit, took part in a range of shared experiences with their hosts, both at the School and further afield.
