Academic

Curriculum and Departments

In this section:

Students joining us in Year 9 benefit from a broad and balanced education in all the subjects we feel are important for modern young people. This breadth and balance is continued at GCSE level with a wide range of subjects that we believe delivers the best educational experience up to the age of 16.

At Sixth Form, Rugby School offers two rigorous and highly respected routes for advanced academic study: the International Baccalaureate Programme and A levels. The IB Diploma is a holistic, balanced and connected curriculum, which encourages curiosity and independence of thought while promoting deep subject-specific skills and knowledge. A levels are stand-alone, subject-based qualifications which allow for a high degree of specialisation in three chosen subjects.

As a top academic school, Rugby prepares its students for university life and beyond. It is clear what universities are looking for: top notch grades at GCSE, A level or the IB, but also an intellectual appetite. We firmly believe we address those aspects, and our students flourish.
