During the winter break, current Rugby School student Phoebe who performed in the Carrot Productions performance of the touring Snowman tour in Birmingham Town Hall.
As part of the process, Phoebe attended open auditions and was nominated for the part. Phoebe was also interviewed on the BBC National Radio to showcase her performance.
Phoebe commented,’ It was an amazing experience singing in the Town Hall. I am used to singing with a choir, so it felt amazing with singing with the orchestra. I really enjoyed the whole experience of it and leading the whole audience in singing ‘Walking in The Air’ at the end of the concert.’
Heather Parker, Phoebe’s singing teacher, said, ‘The opportunity to perform in the Snowman came at the perfect time for Phoebe as she moves from her time as a cathedral chorister to experiencing performing as a soloist. Helping Phoebe prepare for her performance was a delight, as she combines incredible musicianship, innate confidence as a performer and a good sense of fun. I know she will treasure the memories of performing this Christmas classic!’
Well done Phoebe on your performance!
