First XI take the win at Friday Night Lights

A large vocal crowd turned out for a fast paced and exhilarating 3-1 win for Rugby against Stowe School.

The early minutes saw Rugby take the lead with a shot into the bottom left hand corner. The pace didn’t slow for a second but the half ended 1-0 to Rugby. The half time entertainment turned into hockey entertainment at the start of the second half. There were a few nerves among the supporters as the opposition evened the score. A yellow card and a player down, Rugby had to pull together as a team to make sure they stayed in the game.

A strong amount of resilience saw the team through and the athleticism and interplay on show was phenomenal.
