Jack reaches semi-finals of BBC Young Chorister of the Year

We are proud to share that Jack has been named one of five semi-finalists in the BBC Young Chorister of the Year competition.

Jack was awarded a Music Scholarship to Rugby School from King’s College, Cambridge, where he was a chorister. Since joining, he has made an outstanding contribution to musical life at Rugby.

He sings with our Choristers, performed in our recent BBC broadcast, and is also a talented trumpet player and pianist. Jack’s musical interests are wide-ranging – he is equally at home performing in his band at our rock and pop events as he is at the organ or singing in Chapel.

His achievements at Rugby so far include:

– Winning the Intermediate Organ Competition in 2024 and 2025
– Winning the Singing Competition in 2025
– Reaching the finals of the Musician of the Year competition in both 2024 and 2025

The semi-finals and finals of the BBC competition will take place in early July and will be broadcast later this autumn.

We wish Jack the very best and look forward to cheering him on!
