Local School Secondary Drama Festival a success

GCSE drama students from Rugby School and three other nearby schools joined forces last week for the return of the Local Schools Secondary Drama Festival.

Rugby Free Secondary School, Rugby High School and Arnold Lodge School collaborated with Rugby School at the Macready Theatre to preview both scripted and devised ‘in progress’ examination pieces.

They took to the stage to share forthcoming examination work including a mix of physical theatre, serious and wonderful comedic performances, while their teachers made moderation notes.

A Q & A session followed when students responded to each other’s work; offering constructive feedback and support.
