Rugby School Welcomes the Founding Principal of Rugby School Nigeria

Last week, we were delighted to welcome Dr Adam England, Founding Principal at Rugby School Nigeria, to Rugby School UK.

During his two-day visit, Dr England met staff and students, enjoyed lunch in two Houses, and explored the School. He was particularly struck by the students’ positivity, maturity, and confidence—qualities that shone without arrogance—as well as their enthusiasm for all that Rugby has to offer. The sense of community in Chapel was another highlight, made even more memorable by the early spring sunshine showing Rugby School at its best.

Dr England also spent time absorbing Rugby’s Whole Person, Whole Point philosophy and its global approach to teaching and learning. He met with Head Master Gareth Parker-Jones and key members of the Senior Management Team to gain a deeper understanding of Rugby’s ethos, teaching approach, and pastoral care.

We look forward to welcoming Dr England back early next term for the Rugby School Group Colloquium, where he will join Heads and Principals from our sister schools worldwide.
