Knight’s helmet challenge for sixth form candidates

Oxbridge students on Rugby School’s Scholar’s Pathway programme welcomed sixth form academic scholarship candidates to the School last week.

The visit, which is part of the academic scholar selection process, is designed to give candidates a chance to experience the academic life of the School and chat with students and staff. Keepers of the Scholars and Heads of Oxbridge, Dr Andy Davies and Dr Thomas Smith hosted a variety of entertaining activities from a ‘Scholars’ Tea Party’ and the analysis of a 14th Century knight’s helmet, to a collaborative balloon construction exercise and a tricky one-minute timer challenge!
