Festival on The Close Raises Further £2,000 for Cancer Research UK

We are delighted to announce that Festival on The Close raised £2,000 for Cancer Research UK this year, pushing the overall contribution from the event to an impressive £27,000. The 5-day festival, held on Rugby School’s grounds, welcomed over 5,000 members of the public and featured world-class performances, making it a true celebration of creativity and culture.

Among the festival’s highlights were performances from comedian Paul Sinha, Symphonic Ibiza, the West End’s Showstoppers, STOMP, and the dynamic dance troupe FLAWLESS. Over 1,200 local children, alongside Rugby School students, had the chance to work with inspiring professionals in a wide variety of workshops, enriching their creative experiences.

We are extremely grateful to all who supported the festival this year. Thanks are also extended to the artists, workshop providers, staff members, sponsors, and all who contributed to the success of Festival on The Close 2024. Your efforts have not only provided unforgettable experiences for the community but also supported an important cause.
