The Crick Run: Rugby School’s Historic Race Continues to Thrive in 2025

The inception of the Crick Run at Rugby School dates back to 1838, marking the origins of competitive cross country. It is the most celebrated school run in the world and is the world’s oldest half marathon.

This year’s Crick and Barby competitions were a resounding success, showcasing exceptional performances from the School’s talented cross-country runners. Despite challenging conditions, with rain and muddy terrain testing the athletes, each runner gave their all. The spirit of competition was as strong as ever, with remarkable efforts across the board.
