IB Diploma

Rugby School welcomes applications from candidates who live overseas. We are a seven days a week boarding school. Except for holidays, Exeats and Leave-out weekends all of the boarding students will be living and working here during term time.

Parents living overseas must appoint a guardian in the UK for their son or daughter. The guardian will have authority to act on behalf of the parents if necessary and make arrangements for time away from School and travel.

Overseas applicants’ proficiency in English language needs to be good enough for the student to thrive academically and socially right from the first day.  We ask that applicants from overseas should provide us with a UKiset report as soon as possible during the application process and certainly before the closing date for applications.  The UKiset is an adaptive cognitive test measuring underlying ability and language proficiency. For more information please visit: www.ukiset.com .

UK Agent Quality Framework

As an institution, we are committed to the UK Agent Quality Framework and pledge to create and maintain the highest standards of agent management, ensuring the UK remains a leading study destination for international students.

We work with many educational consultants, and if you wish to confirm if an educational consultant has an active agreement with us, or if you are dissatisfied with your experience of using a specific educational consultant, please contact our admissions teams on admissions@rugbyschool.net.

International Applicants: Year 9
International Applicants: Year 12

Visa requirements

Rugby School has been licensed by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) to sponsor international pupils for the purpose of full-time study at the School.

If your child does not hold a UK passport, they will need to apply for a Child Student visa in order to commence their studies at Rugby School unless they hold an immigration status allowing them to study in the UK (eg. EU Settled or Pre-settled status).

Please note that it is the responsibility of the parents or legal guardians to directly submit the application to UK Visas and Immigration.

A visa administration charge of £450 + VAT is added to your first term’s invoice.
